Marriage Procedure Part Uno

As promised, my post on the Prosedur Kahwin. Since this post is very factual (bleh), I'm just gonna go straight to the point. . . . . Scenario 1: Both bride-to-be and groom-to-be are from the same state. If you and your partner falls into this category, then Good Job on finding the man of your dreams from the same state! Yes, this makes things so much easier. All you need to do is: Step 1: Meet the Penolong Pendaftar. This can be the Tok Imam/Tok Kadi. Step 2: The Penolong Pendaftar will verify that both you and partner are from the same state. Usually, they will use your I/C as proof that you are indeed living in WIlayah. If the address in I/C is different, you can give other supporting documents as proof. Step 3: Combine your application. Step 4: Meet the Pendaftar to get the Kebenaran Bernikah. The Pendaftar is basically people at the Jabatan Agama, I think. Step 5: Once Kebenaran Bernikah is obtained, then what else are you waiting for?! Kahwin lah, ape lagi t...

Kursus Pra-Perkahwinan!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....!! . . . Hehe, that's a sigh of relief! Finally, I can crossed that out from my checklist. I have to say that the kursus is the one thing that I dread doing for my wedding preparation. And Alhamdullilah, sudah selesai dengan jayanya. Hehe, tak tido walaupun sekelip, eceh. Sebenarnya tak tido sebab sibok baca Cleo :p Actually, the kursus isn't so bad. We registered for our kursus in Pusat Bandar Damansara , but a day before, Kak Ana, the penyelaras kursus, called to say that the venue has been moved to Masjid At-Taqwa, TTDI. Both my fiance and I felt that the bilik kuliah was a wee bit cramp. But, that was our only complaint. I thought the Ustaz(s) and Ustazah are bearable. Hehe. They didn't make too many crude dirty jokes. And some of them are actually very funny. The laugh-out-loud-perut-sakit kind of funny. And some of the topics are actually quite useful. Fiance and I especially like the ceramah by this young Ustaz, Ustaz Moh...

Inspirations for tudung nikah

Since I'll be having my akad in a masjid, Insyallah, I would want to wear a proper tudung. Not just the selendang, covering my side-swept curled hair, with flowers to top the look. Hmm gaya macam dah fikir untuk tak pakai tudung je :p Hehe no lah, that was my original plan. I did some re-thinking and decided that I want to wear the tudung, lagi ayu kan? To find the tudung is not easy! I have specific criterias that I do NOT want in a tudung. One, no "awning". You know this type, the keras-dekat-depan type. I dont think its a good look for me. Plus susah nanti masa upacara membatalkan wudhu'. Habis penyek bila kena kiss. Two, . . . ok, no number two. I only have that one criteria that I do NOT want. But, I also know that I want something fancy for the tudung. Possibly a tudung with a veil of some sort. Since we'll be having a casual reception after, I want to wear something fancier lah. Oh oh, NO crowns!! I do not like that look! My personal view okay? So, I wen...

Sweetness :)

I have the sweetest uncles in the world! One of them, who is currently in Makkah, texted Mom yesterday just to say that he dreamt of me at my akad nikah. Awwwhh, I thought that was just too sweet. A grown-up man, dreaming of weddings? Hehe... And coincidentally too, I had a dream of my uncle and his family last night. But, even I, the bride-to-be, did not dream of my own akad nikah :p rather it was me picking them up from Makkah at some swanky hotel. Hahaha, yeah dreams are funny kan? But, I do hope that my uncle's dream is a good sign that my akad nikah will go on smoothly and that the marriage after would be blessed. Amin. :) My family. My kecoh Johorean family! Heee :) *This picture is taken from Fatini's blog. Cannot wait to see the album SOON!*

Yish Sakae Sushi!

I feel obligated to tell everyone what I've discovered last week. Remember this the next time you plan a visit to Sakae. I called them one of the days last week to confirm if the food is indeed halal. The issue came up when my colleague mentioned that Japanese restaurants usually puts alcohol in the rice that makes up the sushi. So, bila dah ragu-ragu, I called Sakae to confirm whether or not they practice this. The lady said that Sakae has received the Halal certification for their poultry. And they do not put alcohol in their sushi rice. However, they DO include alcohol in their noodles soups; ramen, udon and the likes and in their sauces like in their teriyaki sauce. I'm bothered with this fact as there is no mention of anything alcoholic in the menu. Paling kurang pun letak la small disclaimer. So misleading!! I don't know if this is a common practice amongst all Japanese restaurants. I can only confirm for Sakae Sushi. Yang lain tu, Waalahu 'Alam.

{ The Reception }

Heeee....I get all excited whenever I think and talk about my reception. But then again, which bride-to-be doesn't kan? Anyhoos, I've mentioned before that the reception would be inspired by Moroccan elements. But, only in passing, never a full-blown detail on the concept. Just imagine - warm candles, rich colours, scattered pillows, long flowy drapes... oohh, so pretty! Ahhhhh ♥ But of course, all this images are in my head. And so I'm pretty sure that some of you don't know what I'm ahhhh-ing at. Syok sendiri je. So, since I'm such a sucker for inspiration boards, I did one for my your benefit ;) Presenting my Moroccan concept... . . . . . . . . Tadaaaaaa.....!!! Heeee *love* I hope my wedding will turn out just like how I imagine. Arma, I'm banking on you! I also have this in hard copy ;) I glued everything on a black cardboard paper and bring them when I meet vendors :p

Harrods Shopper!

I want one!!! . . . . . I'm hitting myself for not buying one (or two) when I was there! Sheesh, masa dulu-dulu pegi Harrods tak pernah la terfikir nak beli. Ni dah balik sini, baru nak! Sheeesh betul lah! And Im pretty sure the price here is so much more expensive! What with the ridiculously high tax and all! Aih whatever la, I'm just going to check out the price at KLCC tomorrow. Meanwhile, this is what I did in the office today. Disclaimer: Not the whole day okay. I did some work. Just perfect for my lunch bag *drools* Anyone going to London soon?

S-A-L-E ;)

Hi Girls! I've got two things for sale here, both important elements of a perfect wedding ;) The first one is my Fitness First membership. You wonder why I'm selling it BEFORE my wedding kan. And NO, I belum kurus lagi. But, I have to get rid of this since its only four months (O-M-G!!) to THE DAY, and wedding-related stuffs are piling up. That's enough to occupies my time after work and over the weekend. So, I'm not really utilizing the gym to full use! And hence, me letting go of the membership. Mine is a passport, meaning you can go to any FF in the country (the World actually) :p And my contract expires in June, so if any of you interested to just try it out for about 4 months, this would be a great offer! (hehe, kena la promote kannn?) Gambar sekadar hiasan. Jika anda berminat untuk membuat pose-pose sebegini, email lah saya untuk maklumat selanjutnya. Dan jika anda inginkan badan seperti dia, sila lah email saya jua! :) Next item! This is a fabulous offer :p Up fo...

The Band! -Updated-

Meet my ( almost- confirmed) wedding band, Amethyst Band. .. .. .. .. Nothing to say really, so I'll let them do all the singing ;) If you want to know more about them, dont la shy-shy email me :p Mom & Fiance are back! Woohoo!

Hello Mr. Syomir!

That's Syomir Izwa I'm hello-ing at ;) Went to see him today for my baju nikah. I have to say, out of all (macam banyak, padahal 3 je! :p) designers that I have met so far, Syomir is the coolest hands down! He's so down-to-earth, very nice and easy to talk to, and just...COOL! Oh, he's not bad looking too, so that's a plus *wink* So he sketched me the designs for my baju nikah. And I love love it! I love the sketch for this baju more than the sketch for my baju reception. Aih, I have the sketch in my head but I seriously do not know how to translate those into words. So, let's all be patient and wait for the revelation (eceh :p) on my nikah day ok! Syomir will email me the quotation later, so hold your emails on the pricing yea? I'll update when he does and then you brides-to be can email away ;) In the meantime, let your eyes feast on some of Syomir's works. *Fall in ♥ now!* I love this one! It just screams GORGEOUSNESS! In love yet? ;) Just look at t...

To Manggis or not to Manggis?

Got the quotation from them. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Am speechless because my oh my(!), MAHAL!!! Aih, I was expecting that. But, I was also hoping that the price could be cheaper. Yes, that's my fantasy talking :p So, I guess not taking la hor? Videos tak tengok sangat pun kan? Tengok masa baru2 lepas wedding je kan? Tapi, kalau video cool macam Manggis, sure la tengok setahun sekali hari-hari kan? ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I won't regret this right brides-to-be?

Manggis, I'm in ♥!

Have you brides-to-be seen any videos by Manggis ? . . . If not, go see now!!! I have said again and again that I dont want to have any slideshow/video montage during my reception. I've been to so many weddings over the past year that I think I've seen enough of them! Oh boy I was wrong! I have NOT seen them all. Manggis just takes this videography thingy to a whole new level. Serious, berangan gila babs tengok videos dia. Siap boleh imagine how mine would be! I even googled for projector rental etc just to see if having this would cost a bomb! Btw, it doesnt ;) Nak rent projector/screen memang la reasonable. Nak bayar Manggis is another story. His website says that his videography services would cost from rm3500. That is FROM ok! Mahal laaa!! Im already taking SN for my photog, takkan nak splurge lagi on videos kan?? Ah, but I emailed them anyway asking for quotation. Mana la tau harga dia sebenarnya lagi murah ke kan? *I'm praying that they have a promo or something* ...

Decorator sudah dijumpai! Weehoo!

Yeay! Sudah bayar blocking deposit untuk Arma! Terima kasih kepada semua yang memberikan tips2 untuk menghubungi Arma. ;) Oh, this also means that I'm not meeting up with NGI. But, I have his pricing roughly. Sesiapa berminat, seperti biasa, email lah saya! ;)

Wedding Decorator gone AWOL!!

Arghhhh, anybody in contact with Arma of Arma Couture? I have been texting him since last week but NO reply! So frustrating. I met him about two weeks ago to discuss concept etc. I texted him the next day to ask for his bank details so that I can bank-in the deposit. Tapi sampai ke hari ni, tak kasi lagi bank details nyer! So, as of now, Im still without a decorator!! Aihhh, just when I thought that everything's settled. I really like his work but if still no reply, I'm going to have to find other decorators la. I dont want to keep texting him. I hate to appear pushy because I'm not. I'm cool really. Heee :p Picture courtesy of Arma This pelamin has the Moroccan-elements that would be so appropriate with my theme! Oh Arma, sila la reply text saya!! Surprise surprise, Nas Great Idea has been in contact with me. Will probably see him next week, InsyaAllah. If all budget is okay, then can la kot. But, yeah I'm not putting my hopes up la because I'm v...
