Inai-ed!

One of the things that I was so excited about before getting married was wearing the inai. I did my research and searched everywhere for the most perfect inai lady. Funnily, I only started looking actively nearer to the wedding. So all the blogger-approved inai ladies were already booked! Eventually, I found one inai lady who does beautiful designs, free hand!

She is Nabila Jamel - the person responsible for Ning Baizura and Serina Chef Wan's beautiful henna. I have no complaints other than her inai doesn't last! She said that it could last up to 2 weeks with proper care - minimal contact with water and slathering the inai-ed part with minyak cap kapak. Well, I did my best to do both. But, the design on my palms were gone completely after my reception.

Have a look;

I love love the colour! Exactly how I imagined it to be.

Pictures are taken a day after. Notice the inai did not stick to my nails. Apparently, its because of the mani-pedi that I did.

So, we bought Indian (I think) inai in a tube and applied it on my fingernails. And I just love how it turned out.

Overall, I was satisfied-ish with the inai. The design on my feet lasted a bit longer, around 2 weeks as promised. Hehe.

In the end, all that matters is I had good fun with family and friends who came that malam berinai. Thank you girls, me love you long time! Hehe.

Ahh, memories of being a bride!

Fashion Styles: Blouse

If you have been following me on this blog, you’d probably know that I’m such a girly girl. I just love being a girl. Seriously, what’s not to love? We have the best in fashion. Fashion is dedicated to us, women! From hair bands and clips to shoes and stockings, and everything in between. I had many fashion phases growing up. The “Clueless” inspired fashion; checkered pants, preppy blouses and small furry backpacks, short dresses with platforms ala Baby Spice and so much more. But, as I grow older, I stuck to a classic and simple style. My husband loves it when I’m dressed in a simple skinny jeans/pants and blouse . And that has been my staple since I got married. I admit – I would love to be more adventurous in my styles (like in my younger days) but I don’t think my husband can tolerate that. Lol. Over the years of experimenting, I have learned what’s good on me and what’s not, what I like and what I dislike. I prefer blouses; smart casual mostly to cotton tshirts. After tur...

Crates Crazy!

Ohmygod!! This is exactly what I was thinking of doing for our home office!!!!! Ahhh, and to think that I got the inspiration without looking at any pictures/blogs/etc. I feel like I very creative like that. Anyhoos, mine hasn't materialized yet because I haven't found the crates in KL. I called up one of the wine shops (simply because they are the ones that use crates and would prolly have them) in Desa Sri Hartamas, but they said they don't keep theirs. ??!! I have to say, tho, that I haven't been trying hard enough. I could just drop by and ask from all these wine shops, Cold Storage etc. Okay, I am now driven to do so. After looking at the beautiful end product! Wish me luck in my search. If you know where I can get them, do tell! Thank you. Photo taken from Pinterest
